About
Aotearoa Ethnic Network » About

This list has been set up so that you can send and receive information about issues, activities and announcements relating to ethnic communities in Aotearoa/New Zealand (see guidelines for more details...).

AEN links you to a who's who of influencers and decision makers in the Aotearoa/New Zealand ethnic sector. The list was started in May 2005 and now has over 150 members with more joining daily. Members come from right across New Zealand (and a couple beyond) but the majority are from Auckland and Wellington.

When we looked at our membership recently we saw that 23 were in local government, 22 in central government, 19 in NGOs, 14 media people and 19 in education. There are also a number of elected representatives from both local and national politics. The others are from a wider different communities.

Only members can post to AEN and we do not disclose members names or email addresses (although members can list their profiles here if they choose). Joining AEN costs nothing and is open to anyone with an interest in the ethnic sector in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
